Description

ELWYN - concept of futuristic both hand sword.

I wanted to make it no so usual. Instead of  one monolithic piece I split it into several parts working together in reasonable structure. Critical part is central hub. This device connect all parts. Its major function is to absorb impact energy from all sections and partially spread them through whole structure. All parts are detachable. If anything gets broken then it can be easily replaced. (In contract with my previous works now I did grip simple to give hands solid holding feature.)
Usually this kind of stuff  are black or metal. I decided that colorization is designed to follow way of goodness. White color as symbol of purity in various strength. Also material is non standard.
Hope somewhere in the future I also make counter design for dark side.

Used program: 3ds max +Vray engine+Photoshop

I did 2 pictures:
(Elwin front is large picture. I recommend to open it in full resolution to see details.I did one large picture instead of several ones  in standard size.)
1. ELWYN front -  peterku.deviantart.com/art/Elw…
2. ELWYN center - peterku.deviantart.com/art/Elw…

P.S.
I did one more concept to be family with Elwyn. : GWYDION by peterku

Personally, I believe that this is an incredible work of art and the design of it just makes me tingle with joy! The centre piece, though a bit odd, is very intriguing and really does give the weapon that sci-fi look!

My "negative" critique, though nit-picky, is that the weapon does look a bit too sleek and clean for a sword, however this can be excused for the sci-fi genre. Also, I must say that the handle is rather large for a sword, almost unnecessarily so, but I can see a character using this to their advantage.

Excellent Work Dude!
