A clean, concise view of the weapon. Smooth lined and realistic looking in terms of blade and staff length and width. The design isn't the most original, i have seen it used elsewhere, however it is still distinct looking enough to warrant a closer look. The image itself, in terms of the programme used, is both clear and easy on the eyes, and focus must be drawn to the nice use of texture on the weapon surfaces. The image stands out with help from the bottom section, but perhaps a more action oriented view would have improved it even more. Colouring is perhaps a little bland, with at most three similar metallic colours being used, but at least the colour choices work well with the design of the weapon. Overall a good piece of work, well done!

Overall the piece is very good, as previously mentioned a few more layers of colour would have added a greater depth to the piece.
it is a departure from the other technological weapons which i enjoy.
The largest detractor in my opinion is the background. While it offers excellent contrast the busy parquet style draws ones eye from the intricacies of the actual weapon. a single grain wood tone wound have done the same job without distraction. Perhaps even using a weather stone pattern, granite look might have offered the punch with the complicated seams and wood grains
Otherwise amazing work

Looks like those things that pit lords from the Warcraft series wield. Which is actually a glaive I think.

Well done, peterku. I would like to submit a possible name for it: Ândirükan, which means Death Spear in Adrîkan. Definitely one of the best rükans (spears) I've seen.

i don't think thats a spear, spears tend to be 1 blade, that might be more connected to the voulge or some other 2 ended long handled type weapon, i do like the blade, up into that little ball on the handle, but the detail on that blade is amazing

very well done! I won't make the same comment about the handle length, as that clearly won't help you much, given that two others (at least, from what I read :P) commented on that already. However, I would like to mention that if your intention was to design a spear, that this weapon wouldn't exactly fit expectations (even given a longer handle). Ignoring the physical impracticality of double-ended weapons (since this is clearly for fantasy, which I respect and admire :D), one must remember what spears are used for: Generally, a spear is used to take advantage of reach. Again, given the understanding of the length of the grip being an admitted fault, this is not the only limitation this manner of weapon would pose for such a purpose. The length of the blades would pose an equally problematic outcome. If you were to use a version of this with a longer haft, as a spear, at least, I'd say it would be wise to have at least one of the ends a bit shorter, so it would be easier to rest on the ground without utterly destroying the blade.

Try looking up shaolin spades, and you'll at least get some idea of what I mean (I'm not saying you need to make either blade into a crescent XD just that longer blades on both ends would, for counterweight purposes, as well as convenience to the one wielding it the way they would a spear, are a bit... impractical XD).

This, however, even ignoring the haft length, resembles more a double-edged sword, and would be a bit more believable if it were used as such :)

My commentary here isn't just to be a snooty little git, though, lol. You did a great job on it! The concept itself, however, needs a bit of work, I'd say, given your aforementioned goal of designing a spear ^_^

Keep it up, though! :D

I respect all you points. that's why I prefer fantasy. there is no limits. if you want to make real spear then there are a lot of limitation coming from physics and reality. thats boring for me. but tnx you.
