Description

A knight is a person granted an honorary title of knighthood by a monarch or other political leader for service to the monarch or country, especially in a military capacity. Historically, in Europe, knighthood has been conferred upon mounted warriors. During the High Middle Ages, knighthood was considered a class of lower nobility. By the Late Middle Ages, the rank had become associated with the ideals of chivalry, a code of conduct for the perfect courtly Christian warrior.

Since the Early Modern period, the title of knight is purely honorific, usually bestowed by a monarch, as in the British honours system, often for non-military service to the country.

And what about if they still existed in original form. What they would look like? And what they would think about our times.

My concept is imaginary/sci-fi/fantasy idea of knight sword-TRISTAN in modern suit. Concept, modeling and rendering is mine. I did whole job in 3ds max, rendering engine is V-ray. Model is highpoly. Hope that dimensions are ok. Grip is oval and it is stretched at the end to hold hand at the place.

I did 2 picture:
1. Tristan - main - peterku.deviantart.com/art/Tri…
2. Tristan - secondary - peterku.deviantart.com/art/Tri…

Both pictures are big and details are quite visible when you open pictures in their original size.

So what do you think? Do you like it or not? Tnx for comments if any and bye.

This piece is so well done, i was convinced it was real at first sight, and only the description would have been able to change my mind. The angles and textures on the model are strong and hard, but almost organically smooth, the black carbon and white steel designs, especially on the object above the hilt, really add to the modern feel of the sword. The weapon looks worthy of combat, and any ceremony. I can easily see it being held in the hands of a knight in a accompanying set of armor, or the hands of a modern monarch. A balanced, smooth, solid model and piece of equipment.
