Since the Early Modern period, the title of knight is purely honorific, usually bestowed by a monarch, as in the British honours system, often for non-military service to the country.
And what about if they still existed in original form. What they would look like? And what they would think about our times.
My concept is imaginary/sci-fi/fantasy idea of knight sword-TRISTAN in modern suit. Concept, modeling and rendering is mine. I did whole job in 3ds max, rendering engine is V-ray. Model is highpoly. Hope that dimensions are ok. Grip is oval and it is stretched at the end to hold hand at the place.
I did 2 picture:
1. Tristan - main - peterku.deviantart.com/art/Tri…
2. Tristan - secondary - peterku.deviantart.com/art/Tri…
Both pictures are big and details are quite visible when you open pictures in their original size.
So what do you think? Do you like it or not? Tnx for comments if any and bye.

-The Million-Dollar Sword
Visually, it is superb. I would be interested in the specifications (materials, weight, balance, etc.) so as to truly "know" this sword although I have minimum knowledge regarding blades of this style and application. You mentioned that Knighthood is more or less an "honorary" title, especially so in modern history. I might suggest that a sword is rather symbolic as well. Many weapons, armor and battle techniques severely limit it's use in actual engagement. History shows that Royalty has provided a pathway to quasi-nobility for commoners through Knighthood but ultimately it seems to be in there own best interests militarily and in terms of public relations. ALL you work I reviewed is excellent.
