Hi all. It's been long time since I added pictures here last time. Busy part of year is behind us. I finally found time for relax and this is output. Concept of energy gun - I wanted to create something what JC Danton (deus ex) could hold proudly. Not from far future, shiny, with sexy lines suited into nearly monochromatic visualization and shadows. (Short look at my gallery and its apparent that combination black and white is my favorite that I prefer to colorful images.) Concept, modeling and rendering is mine. Whole model is highpoly. Used program 3ds max and vray rendering engine.
First and foremost, your 3D models are absolutely amazing.
The vision of the weapon is really impressive. I love how you rendered the weapon. It looks very lifelike. I could see myself holding it. I also like how you did multiple perspective views, so the view could almost imagine in their head how it would exactly look if they were holding it in their hands.
I think this firearm is pretty original. This design is definitely very sci-fi'ish. I really like this weapon overall, but I think you should make the trigger a little bit bigger, but that is only a personal opinion. I really like the power button on the gun too.
As far as the technique, I can't say anything, because I don't know how to make 3D models myself. But, you did a fantastic job modeling and rendering this weapon.
Have you given any thought as to the effect your guns would have on the intended targets? For example. Would it shoot a pulse burst that burns through or would it disperse into the body like the stun setting of a phaser? I'd really love to know!
Wow!! I'm in love with this design, absolutely awesome! I love the rounded shapes and the colors and pattern design. Sweet stuff, and the model looks excellent, too!
You're very welcome! Actually, I love the organic shapes. It's what sets this design apart from pretty much every other weapon design I've seen. I think most people just can't think outside of the box and are just too used to any blocky, linear weapon design and thus can't fully appreciate the one you did.

Awesome work as always. Keep up the great work!
