Kodo rifle by peterku Kodo rifle by peterku
Concept of sci-fi rifle "Kodo". Primary object was to design sci-fi gun with smooth/dynamic look without disturbing point and from exotic casted material. Model is highpoly. All work is made by my self. For better view I suggest open picture in its original size. I did it really large. programs: 3ds max +bit of Photoshop. Render engine: vray. Wait for your comments if any.

For those interested here is another picture of Kodo: fav.me/d3kyqf5

If you like it tnx for commets and points if not then put your comments at least down there. tnx for objections as well as I use them for improving my future works.

Man, astonishing work! I envy your skills! Really, the amount of visual detail on this is amazing. I can really see you know what you are, and were doing when making this. The body of the gun is streamlined, dynamic, and perfect for city and urban warfare. It would totally fit the Scri-fi theme as you mentioned too, the scope reminds me of the FN F2000, fn de herstal would love a gun like this!

And like i said above, the quality is amazing! I really look up to your modelling skills! And i'd love to see this in a game sometime!

this is surprisingly looks like it is real the angles a perfect the shading is to it looks as if the digital version was took-in to make a real version

its clean smooth its looks very life like but it looks like a mixer of the f200 the tar-21 and the sniper from mass effect ( it does a bit) even if you didn't use those as a for it it stills look really goof

if this would be used in combat it would look like it would do lot of damage seeing as it looks like a sniper and could be used as a assault rifle too

Excellent design, I'm imagining this as using a fairly large round, relatively short, 20 to 25 mm x 60 mm smart rifle grenade rounds, or even rockets, holding five in equipped magazine as shown, self loading? One of these per squad would serve nice.

Well thought behind the function, understanding it makes for better modelling, form following function they say. When I took an anime class, the instructor was firm about that, and I think it stuck with me.

The weapon design is very beautiful, but the controls are a bit awkward. All weapon controls should be accessable from the firing position. The XM-25 is a good example, you can change from fire to safe, change from air-burst to surface detonation, and set the range for detonation of the air-burst function without moving either hand while in the firing position.

I have perused many of your future tech weapons. And I must say I have enjoyed the renders, and detail. You should work for the film industry.
