More people suggested me to make laser gun so here it is. Concept of laser rifle. Objective was to make shine solid metal piece from the sci-fi future. It works with light beam not with projectiles and therefore there is no recoil. Instead of stock I use its place as handle.

I uploaded more pictures of this project. There are pictures from various angles and sizes + wireframes of model in my gallery.

All work was done in 3ds max + vray as engine. Model is highpoly. Structures of model is visible in wireframe posted in my gallery.

I would die of happiness if this was available as a life-size 3D print! I would buy one in a heartbeat.
Amazing design, there is not a single flaw to this. Good job!

Regardless of the recoil, a stock is needed. IMO, I think the weight is just poorly distributed, seeing how all the things are on the WAY front. You'd have a very awkward firing position.

And yeah, you'd have to trash the ring-thing around the grip. It's just awkward on the gun.

Nevertheless, you could always saw off the majority of the barrel and end up with a weird-looking hand cannon. No, that would be a worse idea...

I used to yes. but only paper while wathing TV. other that that I start with few boxes and just add more and more details.

really good looking gun although looks a bit uncomfy to hold and aim unless the shoulder support is extendable :X
