Description

This weekend job. Concept Standard, these days, handgun in futuristic overall. I did not make any crazy/weird features to keep it usual and believable.  Work has been made in 3ds max + vray as rendering engine. Completed in Photoshop.

Overall, very nice looking gun. I see elements of the Desert eagle in the barrel, and the M1911 in the rear of the slide. The usage of accessory rails makes it very "tacticool", ergo near-futuristic.

That said, a few nitpicks.

1) Magazine release (near the base of the trigger guard, if that is indeed the mag release) button seems very small. Either it has to be very sensitive to touch (which would be the source of many problems) or would be a b****h to operate.

2) Slide release also looks flimsy. I know you can justify it with "future-tec materials", but still. Looks a bit off.

3) smooth side panels on the handguard. That generally implies low friction materials. Could imply the pistol is liable to slide out of the operator's hands. That's not good :/

4) Not sure what the protrusion at the bottom of the gun's magazine is supposed to be. Pistol whip aid, perhaps?

5) The Fire/Safety selector seems like it'd be hard to operate with the operating hand. It's unique, to be sure, but I'd hate to try to flip back to safe while wearing gloves.
