Description

This is concept of round energy gun. It’s designed for sci-fi environment – full of halls and corners - Long distance free space station. To bring difference It has shape as a disk and is assembled of 4 parts – grip, energy magazine, emitter and electronic in upside. Aiming is provided by 2 laser lights – up and down on emitter. I covered it into cool black police shine suit. I did 3 pictures:

People used to warn me that the text is not readable. Pictures are quite big. They needed to be open in original size. I just don’t want to put big text all over the pictures.

Model is highpoly, all made in 3ds max and I rendered in via Vray. Model itself has 18.682 polys and 19.788 verts (all before turbosmooth). To keep work easy and quick I used only one simple texture for grip. All others are clean vray materials.

This gun's concept, though confusing at first, is absolutely beautiful, charming and apealing. The concept of energy rounds fired in a line and two laser pointers reminds me of the plasma cutter from dead space, but designes for militar use. You clearly don't want to stand in front of this thing, though I wonder how do you put it in a holster when not in use or how many shots a standard magazine powers. Anyway, I love the concept, even though I'm not a if fan of round guns, which I usually question their functionality. This one explains it, and it is great. Same cool factor as both the ripper and plasma cutter from dead space. I love it.
