Description
This is my speedwork - Design of sword. I just dont know where to sort it. I started it as a medieval knight sword, then turned it into fantasy concept and finaly I made mechanical parts and rendered it with present material.
Program: 3ds max
Engine: Vray
Model: Highpoly.
It is speedwork. I did whole work during 1 sessions. When there is press of time you just have to make compromises. Maybe model need some more work. (Mainly blade is really simple. Originally I planned to do something else but running time caused I made only this simple one.) Whole model is texture free. There just wasnt time for that. Small parts I took from my earlier projects and merged it. Rendering scene is simple. Six cameras outputs had been moved into photoshop. This program did the rest. Compiled all pictures together, modified some feature and this is the result. None of step is 100 percent done due lack of time, There is still space for improvements, but following them would hold me back. You will have to accept is as it is.
Normally I do several pictures. Now I did only this one picture. (On the other hand it is quite large when you open it in ful resolution.)

Overall Vision
Originality Technique ImpactYou show amazing ingenuity with weapons. Though this is the first critique I've given all of your weapons show amazing artistic prowess. your daggers were my favorite of the melee weapons. I am very VERY anal about critiquing things especially weapons and you have never let me down. I think the sword has an odd handle and it doesn't seem to be very comfortable IMO. The blade is beautiful and has a nice blood groove to it. I am curious of the tang of the blade, is it all the way to the hilt or is it just to the guard? The sword overall is very nice and I gave you high marks for that. It looks like it is made of a carbon polymer or another composite material. I imagine the balance would be off and it would seem to be a decorative sword that could work but, I would hang it from my wall and I do not believe I would use it unless I practiced with it until l could manage the offset balance.
