Vidar-rifle-secondary by peterku
Vidar-rifle-secondary
Concept of scifi rifle for fictional scenario. Recently I uploaded smg (VIDAR - concept of SMG.). This one is meant to be family with it. Both are built on same principle. Simple profile, minimalist design and oval shapes.

I worked in 3ds max, used vray rendering engine and finished it in photoshop. Model is highpoly. I did 2 pictures:

1. VIDAR rifle main:  Vidar-rifle-main
2. VIDAR rifle secondary: Vidar-rifle-secondary

So what do you think. Do you like it or not? tnx for comments if any. bye.

VIDAR - concept of SMG.
Concept of futuristic SMG for fictional scenario. It is energy based. No ammo but battery sockets in the handle. Design is minimalist. Front mask contains "Barrel", camera and light at the bottom. There is also laser pointer at the top.  Once owner takes it into hand, procedure runs authorisation process. If it succeed, HUD information and camera picture is linked with head up display. In addition, there is standard HUD at the rear section.

Heyy, I have a quick question. I am currently using Maya LT 2016 and Maya 2015 at college and was wondering if 3ds Max is a better program to use for modelling?

hi. In both program you can do whenever you want. I dont know even 1 thing you can do in one program and not in another. Both are large-all-purpose tools for complete 3d work. 3ds max is easier to learn but more profesionals  use Maya I think. There are more free programs on the market you will learn much faster then tese 2 programs and still you can do good 3d outputs.

I love your weapons. They look awesome. How would a blue steel katana look like if it was made from a blue dragon with blue feathers. A phoenix dragon! WOOT WOOT lmao

Love your futuristic weapon designs the last 3 Pistol designs and your latest rifle designs look like they could be functional and the designs look well laid out. I swear I can imagine your weapon designs being in the Star Wars and Star Trek universe.

As always nice work!!!

Myslím, že by si sa mal zaregistrovať na ArtStation  Tak kvalitné veci aké som videl v tvojej galérii tam musia preraziť

I have been a fan of your work for quite a while. This may seem totally off the wall here, but have you thought about applying for a job somewhere in 3d modelling? I've been playing Star Citizen lately, and keeping up to date with their concept art and production process. I think they could use some of your originality and talent with modelling, and I think your designs (especially with guns) would fit in really well with their setting. Plus, I think it would be pretty amazing to get to shoot some of the weapons you've designed (even if it was only in a game).

I don't have any sort of affiliation with them, or interest in it other than wanting it to be awesome, but I do know they're constantly hiring talented people who can model and who have original ideas to contribute.

First off, Happy belated birthday

Secondly, can you flesh out a couple of your designs?  I would love to see some of these made as hold-able props...
